Ruby Engineer

CoTweet is seeking a top-notch Ruby/Rails engineer to help us build an even bigger and better service!

This key position requires expert knowledge of Ruby, RoR, Metal/Rack/Sinatra, ActiveRecord, and memcached. Experience with Amazon Web Services, message queueing architectures, and ActiveMerchant desirable. Familiarity with agile methods, git, and TDD/BDD a plus. Candidates should have a history of building and scaling successful high-traffic web services using several or all of the aforementioned technologies. Excellent communication skills are a must, as is the ability to problem solve and architect elegant solutions to complex and unusual technology challenges.

Successful candidates must be able to quickly adapt to change, have the ability to rapidly learn new technologies and APIs, and have passion and enthusiasm for building great products. It is likely that you have proven yourself in several innovative startups already and are hungry for more challenges (and more rewards) within another similar environment. The selected candidate will enjoy working with a small, dedicated team in a casual, fun startup environment in the SOMA district of San Francisco.

Community Manager

The community manager is the voice of the company externally and serves as a customer advocate internally. The community manager connects personally with customers and provides feedback to rest of the company.

Responsibilities

• Creatively and proactively assist customers
• Serve as the initial point of contact for inbound requests
• Transfer the information to the appropriate departments so that they can respond accordingly
• Plan and coordinate parties
• Run training/educational webinars for customers and prospects
